The Zurich Head Office Melbourne project had a strong emphasis on branding, the design of which needed to be in line with the definitive Zurich guidelines. This meant the office needed to reflect the same look-and-feel of all Zurich offices, but with some unique identifiable features reflecting the Melbourne location. In order to maintain compliance with the guidelines, each design decision was subject to a number of approvals in Melbourne, Sydney & Singapore. Cube worked within the approvals structure effectively & employed a number of strategies to resolve the issues surrounding branding. In addition to applying the guidelines closely, these included ensuring multiple design meetings focused on branding in particular, using the Zurich image library to identify images that related to the story of the Melbourne fitout location, using classic finishes to ensure longevity in the design and being very specific in where & how colour was brought into the space. The client was happy and felt the end result was very representative of the Zurich brand.
